Redistricting Plans: Rhode Island

In Rhode Island, redistricting plans are enacted by the legislature and are subject to gubernatorial veto. Rhode Island has an 18-member political advisory redistricting commission which draws maps for the legislature's consideration, but ultimately the legislature and governor make the decision of what maps to adopt. Democrats control the legislature and the Governor's office.
